Issue description
Using the offline cache and download function to export a file from a server to the download folder on an Android device creates a file with no extension. Easily remedied in a file manager, but it adds an extra step in being able to use the file with other external apps. I have used this function in the past and don’t remember it happening that way previously.
Device type
Phone
Media provider
Navidrome
Steps to reproduce
- Connect to Navidrome server in the usual way.
- Find a song to download/export to Android’s download folder. Confirm using the “details” page for that file that the file on the server has a file extension.
- Use the download/export function to download the file from the server to Android’s download folder.
- Use a file manager to see that the exported file does not have an extension. The external application I’d like to open the file in will not open files without extensions.
- Use a file manager to rename the file to a name with a file extension.
- Use the external app to play the file as expected.
Additional information
I have used the export function in the past and don’t remember having this issue, this may be a result of an update somewhere, but I wouldn’t have any clues as to how long ago.
