I was thinking that either a option for individual tracks could be added, that when toggled will exclude the track from appearing in personal mixes. Alternatively perhaps smart playlists could have a option that will make it that all songs within the Smart playlist will be ignored by the personal mixes. This way you can just add all the songs you don’t want to hear during personal mixes to this playlist and have them not play.
Problem solved:
I have alot of albums that contain instrumental versions of songs within the albums and I also really like the personal mix feature but I don’t want the instrumentals to appear in the personal mixes. I could just remove the instrumentals from my library but I sometimes like to hear them so I was hoping for a feature to exclude songs from personal mixing.
Brought benefits:
It would allow songs that you do like and want to keep in your library, but don’t necessarily want them appearing during personal mixes, such as instrumentals and interludes, from appearing during personal mixes.
Hmmm that is true that I could 1 star them or make smart playlists, but I still feel like being able to exclude certain songs would be useful. I use MusicBee on PC and it has said feature, not having to make a playlist and just being able to hit play on songs and not get instrumentals popping up is very handy.
But yeah, there definitely are workarounds I can use. Thank you for your response and hard work
Appreciate the workarounds, though they kinda make the homepage mix shortcut redundant. Personal mix is supposed to be quick and effortless. Hopefully, a better solution comes along someday.
Rate 1 star or remove from the mix would be the exact same amount of work and would end to the exact same result … There’s no need to add something duplicate to achieve the same result. Check the duplicate issue.
