Feature description:
Hi,
I’d love to suggest an enhancement to the Now Playing screen UI in Symfonium . The idea is to add intuitive gesture-based navigation for a more fluid and immersive experience:
Proposed gestures:
Swipe Left: Show Listening History
Swipe Right: Show Current Queue
Swipe Up (from bottom): Reveal Lyrics (if available) or Album Details (e.g. release year, genre, label)
Problem solved:
-
Clunky navigation
Without gestures, users have to tap multiple buttons or menus to see history, queue, or lyrics, breaking the listening flow. -
Disruptive UI switching
Currently, switching between queue, history, or lyrics may involve leaving the Now Playing screen, which interrupts the seamless experience. -
Slow access to useful info
Album details and lyrics are valuable but often hidden behind extra taps or menus, making it inconvenient to explore while listening. -
Non-intuitive controls for a modern audience
Many apps now use swipes and gestures for quick access, so the lack of these in Symfonium for Qobuz feels outdated. -
Reduced engagement with rich content
Easy access to lyrics and album info encourages deeper engagement with music; without smooth gestures, users may skip exploring this.
Brought benefits:
Keeps the user in the Now Playing screen without needing extra taps.
Adds convenient access to frequently used features.
Makes the experience more consistent with modern, gesture-driven UI paradigms.
Thank you for considering this!
