DTS audio files cannot be played

Issue description:

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with DTS audio files (WAV format). Unfortunately, they cannot be played. Noise (“hiss”) is being played back. I use Gonic with the Android app “Symfonium”. The problem is also with airsonic-advanced.

Is there a solution for this?

Thank you very much!

Best regards

I without the logs that are mandatory as a dozen of messages says, no one can tell …

Provide proper logs and if possible a file that reproduce the issue.

How can I create logs from Symfonium? I’m also not sure how meaningful the logs are. Which logs are actually needed?

In principle, it is not possible to play DTS WAV files without interference:
MIME type: wav/pcm
Sample rate: 44.1 kHz
Bit rate: 1411 kb/s
File format: wav

I believe this is reproducible.

Well the wizard explains all that, and it’s explained nearly everywhere actually

It’s reproducible with the file only you have on your device  How would that help me?

So again please provide logs and one of the file that generate the issue :

DTS still have some licensing on it so not all files can be played.

Thank you! I have uploaded a sample file and sent it to support.

Thanks so the file is not properly detected by default, will add a workaround in next release.
