Issue description
When casting music from Symfonium to my Denon CEOL via UPnP, the CEOL randomly goes into standby and stops playback, even though playback is still active.
This does not happen when using Spotify to play to the same Denon CEOL.
I am using Subsonic as the media provider in Symfonium.
I have already tried changing the UPnP renderer settings, including:
- Symfonium proxy: enabled
- UPnP gapless support: disabled
- UPnP alternative flags: disabled
- Stop casting on external changes: disabled
The problem still occurs.
After the CEOL restarts, it switches to the “MusicServers” screen.

Media provider
Subsonic (Open)
Steps to reproduce
- Open Symfonium.
- Select music from my Subsonic media provider.
- Start playback.
- Select Denon CEOL as the UPnP playback device.
- Leave playback running.
- After some time, the Denon CEOL unexpectedly goes into standby/restarts even though Symfonium is still playing.
- After the restart, the CEOL displays the “MusicServers” screen.
Additional information
Spotify does not have this problem when casting to the same Denon CEOL.
The Denon CEOL was not being used by any other application at the time of the incident. MinimServer was not being used for playback either.
Symfonium uses Subsonic as the media provider, and the playback target is the Denon CEOL via UPnP.
I also tried enabling “Symfonium proxy”, but the issue still occurred.
The CEOL appears to restart rather than simply stopping playback, because after the restart it displays the “MusicServers” screen.
