Controls disappeared in Maps/Drive since 27/4/2025 update

Issue description:

Hi, Since the last update on 27/4, the controls do not appear anymore on Google Maps/Drive mode. And Maps/Drive does not allow to ‘display the multimedia controls’ as it does not see a default multimedia app…
Something seems broken here…
Any clue ?

Nothing have changed Symfonium have no control over other apps functions or updates.

Ok. I will check / debug with Google support then.

Hi any news on this as I have exactly the same issue - Google Navigation options for default player and media controls return that there is no media app available. This seems to be a Google issue.

I have read somewhere on reddit that Google broke voluntarily the integration of media controls in Google Nav. Defintely a Google move. Why ? No idea, except slashing on integration support costs maybe ?
