I recently picked up a wiim pro so I can use chromecast to connect to a speaker with symfonium. But if i start a playlist, it keeps stalling out after a song or two, and won’t continue unless i skip forward and then back again. Like if the connection keeps going to sleep.

When i first installed the wiim pro, symfonium gave me the option to connect between chromecast or upnp (shown in screenshot). The upnp connection was actually steady, but now its gone and only chromecast is an option.

Use a wiim pro to cast music with chromecast. Run a playlist.
Yea, that’s what I meant. It was there at first, but then the upnp option vanished, leaving only the chromecast one. But then i moved the wiim closer to my router and the upnp option popped back up again.
So I’m guessing certain parts of my house can only be accessed by chromecast? Does that make sense? I’ll have to see if it’s possible to expand the reach of upnp.
I visited this site when i first downloaded symfonium and believe i made all the necessary changes. But my phone also recently updated to Android 15, which i don’t see listed on that site yet. Maybe that’s adding some new wrinkle?
