Chromecast issues

Issue description:

Chromecast cast has become inconsistent. It’s hit or miss if it connects. When it does, it randomly disconnects and won’t reconnect.
Othertimes, it works flawlessly until it randomly disconnects

Reboot that device ? Nothing have changed.

I have the same problem, with both of my chromecasts. I’m a new Symfonium user so I don’t know if it used to work better. Sometimes it just won’t connect no matter how many times I try. I try to disable/enable wifi, reboot phone, reboot chromecast, open google home, etc. Other times it connects immediately. I have no idea why, because there’s nothing I do differently. I don’t have the problem with spotify, youtube, etc. Sometimes it worked before I left the house, then later return and I cannot get it to connect. I also tried enabling the proxy via symfonium, but I still have problems.

I cast mp3 files from my Android phone. Rebooting chromecasts didn’t help. The only error message I sometimes get is ‘current renderer is offline’ and ‘transferring to renderer’ or something like that. I also often see a second instance of the casting device appear in the list of devices when it fails to connect (as if I have three chromecasts, but two with the same name) a bit like on the screenshot (it was connected then). I don’t use a vpn. Any advice?
