Feature description:
I’d like to be able to change the sort order of artists/albums/tracks/etc in search results, similarly how you can already change the sort order in most other places.
Problem solved:
Specifically I want to have the results sorted by the respective “sort names”, so the artists sorted by the “artist sort” field etc.
Brought benefits:
Sort orders of artist/album/etc lists are already configurable in most other places in the app, showing that I’m not the only one who likes to change sort orders of things. This change would bring the search results to that same level.
In principle my specific problem could be solved by a generic “use sort names for ordering search results” toggle, but I think the benefit to other users would be even greater if it could be configured to other fields as well, such that for example albums are sorted by year if one desires.
