Casting support for non Google devices

Feature description:

I’m running GrapheneOS on an Android. I want to degoogle however it seems that, correct me if I’m wrong, but Google Play Services is required for the current Casting feature to work in symfonium?

I guess I’d voice support for casting support on non Google Play Services devices.
Some other media player apps can cast content directly to a DLNA or UPnP-compatible device, even my Sonos so I think it could be possible?

Problem solved:

Gets casting to work on non Google/Samsung OS’ like GrapheneOS

Brought benefits:

casting support for more devices without relying on google

Other application solutions:

Other apps seem to be able to cast directly to a DLNA or UPnP-compatible device.

ah fair enough, I’m guessing then my sonos network needs chromecast to work :disappointed_relieved:

No most sonos device fully support UPnP. Open a proper issue with logs and details.
