Cannot play after Android Auto

Issue description:

Played music using Android Auto. No problems there. After unplugging the USB cable, the phone app was showing a pause button, but the music wasn’t playing (no sound, the play time wasn’t ticking). I can change songs with next/previous buttons but they won’t play, the play button won’t do anything. I cannot select songs from the playlist. A “Force stop” fixed the problem.

This has happened only once so far.

Does the logs contains that ? I do not see any force kill or issue in them.

I did the force kill after I had stopped the logging, if the issue repeats I will include it. But the issue definitely happened while the logging was on.

So what exactly is in the end of the logs ?
I did not see anything obvious but maybe a precise description of the last actions might help.

Alright, I managed to catch the same kind of issue, the steps went something like this:

  1. Turn on the debug mode
  2. Connect android auto
  3. Skip songs using the car controls
  4. After a few skips, it won’t skip
  5. Open the phone and start screen recoding
  6. Cannot skip on the phone, cannot select another track
  7. Force kill and restart
  8. Works now

Then I stopped the screen recoding and debugging. I’ve uploaded both with the description: Jxc android auto part 2

After further testing I found out that android auto is not relevant to this bug, it always happens after skipping a song a few times. I’ve uploaded a new screen recoding + debug log using “jxc” as a description. I had cleared the app cache before that but clearly it didn’t help. Clearing the storage would probably work, since the app used to work just fine.

Try to join beta or go to settings/advanced/cleanup internal states.

Cleaning up the internal states fixed the problem. Thanks!
