Cannot access my music library using mobile data

Issue description

I went for a walk this morning, and I thought I’d set my Symfonium up all set for playing yesterday evening. However, as soon as I launched it, I found my issue: nothing was coming through on mobile data. No library, no images, no recently played. Nothing. Just a basic black screen.

When I sat down for a drink and logged onto the cafes WiFi, up the library popped on Symfonium.

I’m using Tailscale to access my server, and that’s working fine.

My AudioBookShelf and Absorb (the frontend software I use for ABS), both work fine on mobile data. Either going direct to ABS or via Absorb.

Jellyfin was streaming music fine on both mobile and WiFi.

It’s clearly something I’ve not checked off in the Settings, but I can’t see what it is.

Can anyone possibly point me to what I need to click or check, so I can listen to music sans WiFi?

I know there’s no log here as I don’t think this is a Software Issue, more a Human User Issue. I just need a quick bit of support.

Thank you

Steps to reproduce

Open phone, Launched Symfonium. No music/albums/artists showing at all. Checked mobile data is on. Check Tailscale has no issues. Checked Jellyfin music was okay on mobile data (it was). Checked my books via both ABS and Absorb on mobile data (both fine). Found a Wifi spot; Symfonium library appeared until I left the cafe Wifi

Additional information

I do have screenshots, however the media wouldn’t let me attach them

Edit - Ignore this I’ve attached them.

I think this is more a human issue (me) than software issue sorry

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I know and I am sorry, but I honestly believe this is more human failings (me) than software failings (Symfonium).

You are sorry but still make me repeat again why it’s needed

I can either read the … logs and tell you exactly what you are doing wrong in less than 10 seconds or I can write dozens of possible things without any clue about anything and loosing 15 minutes for that.

One is efficient the other is useless. There’s rules for a reason, if every one makes me loose 15 minutes for nothing then there’s no more time for the app actual work and the actual support.

Ah I’m sorry. I wrongly believed that it not appearing too be a failure of the app, the log would show everything would be fine.

Once home I’ll upload my log straight away. If that’s not possible, I’ll delete this post completely and repost with a log.

Again, my apologies for the wrong assumption.

Have my log file, however I can’t seem to attach it, nor delete the post.

If a mod could assist here I’d be very grateful thank you.

Just to say this is now resolved.

A user on Reddit mentioned that I should look at the “Funnel” symbol and check the settings within that, as they had a similar issue.

A few minutes later, I realised I had no funnel symbol on my Symfonium, though I had seen one before when I started using the application.

I had recently been importing a handful of custom themes and applying them, so putting 2+2 together, I realised my constant “redecorating” had caused something internally to become either corrupted or pushed my icons into too many different locations, whether they wanted to or not.

So, I went for a total uninstall.

Restarted my phone.

Reinstalled, logged back in and connected to my server.

Ta-darrr!

Everything is back, including the funnel symbol.

Again, my apologies for no logs in the beginning. In the future, no matter what the issue and however minor I consider it. I’ll deliver a log.
