Feature description
I’m not sure if it’s already possible to do this, but I would like to have an option to highlight the buttons on the control bar with the default color (white) when they are activated, that is, they look less transparent and white when they are activated. The idea is apply this to the side buttons on the control bar, which in my case are the repeat and the shuffle buttons.
The first screenshot shows how it looks now and the second screenshot shows how it would look when shuffle mode is active.
Problem solved
Bad appearance of the now playing theme when repeat or shuffle buttons are activated.
Brought benefits
Better appearance of the now playing theme.

For Shuffle and Repeat, there are two styles of button: the regular ones (which it you are using) and the “Colored” versions. In the same menu where you selected them for the Control Bar, you’ll see both options listed.
You want to use the Shuffle/Repeat (Colored) with the Icon Color set to Default or Theme Tertiary. Don’t use Primary color for the Icon Color setting! The Colored style buttons will change to the Primary color when toggled instead of adding the squared background.
Hi, thanks for your reply. Could you explain a bit more what you mean when you say “Don’t use Primary color for the Icon Color setting”?
I gave the “shuffle (colored)” setting a go, but the theme color is gray, and honestly, it just doesn’t look right when it’s active.
I’m attaching a screenshot showing the shuffle button when it’s activated, so you can see what it looks like in my case.
The Icon Color changes the “non-active” button color. The Colored-style buttons will always change to the Primary color once active. So if you set the Icon Color to Primary as well, the button will look exactly whether it’s on or off.
If that doesn’t get addressed as part of your request, I may put in a separate one to ask for a change myself.
Yeah that’s as much as we can do with it right now.
If the Colored-style buttons could change to a color other than the Primary color when enabled, you’d probably be able to get closer to what you want.
