Feature description:
I’m imagining a builder mode inspired by The Sims and other games where you can customize as you go.
Possible function:
When you go into settings you can click into “Build Mode” or “Customize”, this then takes you back to the home screen but with the options available. You could pick up and move icons, change sizes, colors and position on the fly without going back and forth.
Problem solved:
When you’re in the menus to customize the pages to your liking you can’t tell what’s being done until you’ve gone back 1-3 pages and the have to go back in again to edit it further. There are previews for the “Now PLaying” screen, but not for anything else.
Brought benefits:
Newer users might not find it as daunting to change things around and there are way less button pressing back and forth. Older users might also find something they’d like to change aaround that they just haven’t bother to fix because they don’t feel like sifting through all the pages to find the specific little icon they’re looking for.
Other application solutions:
The Sims has builder mode, phones let’s you edit icon layout, in OBS you can drag and drop the different windows
Additional description and context:
Of course if doing it like this isn’t possible it would also just help to have a preview screen/button for the pages like there are in the “Now Playing” section.
