Buffering Issue

Issue description:

Hi Tolriq,

Google Pixel 8 Pro and Navidrome.

I have a favourite smart playlist of favourite artists, albums and tracks - the playlist itself is also favourited and has an auto offline rule. I shuffle the playlist and pause/play as I’m moving between bluetooth and Chromecast, WiFi and offline play.

Sometimes (!) when first connected to Chromecast I get buffering on the Now Playing screen (the play/pause button spinning animation).

I have to restart the playlist to resume playback. While waiting for buffering, Chromecast disconnects.

My debug log starts in the middle of buffering “Tory Kong”. I press Next and buffering still occured.

Additional information:

Note that the bitrate is “Unkonwn”? Not sure if this is related to connecting to WiFi, then Chromecast as Symfonium may have been playing the auto cached version beforehand?

Too many preceding steps, so difficult to reproduce

Without logs starting before to see how the app reached that state it’s hard to tell.
But as you often vanish from issues without answering later, I’ll attempt a random fix and will see you in a couple of months

Touche. I’ll take that on the chin. I love the fact that I’m notorious

Symfonium is clearly the premier Android application - the flexibility and customisation is amazing.

BUT, the switching between bluetooth, WiFi, Chromecast has never been seamless which I suspect is more a Pixel issue than Symfonium. Other apps (dSub & Tempo) do not have these issues, but they are not as sophisticated as Symfonium. Once again, I suspect it is a Symfonium/Pixel issue which I would love to resolve.

Love and best wishes
