Blur/Blurry Theme does not play nice with the system navigation bar

Issue description:

When playing an album with a lighter shade or bright artwork using the blur/blurry theme, a white bar usually appears on the system navigation bar.

This only happens with image based background styles (album art/blur/blurry). Screenshot one is an example of the bug on a bright album cover. Screenshot 2 is an example of a dark album cover where the bug does not occur. Screenshot 3 is an example of a non album cover based background (gradient theme colour) where this does not happen at all.

You probably changed the navigation bar overlay to something as it’s not possible otherwise l.

Nope, it’s just the regular navigation bar. Here’s some examples of the same album running in Oto music with no issues. They are running on both blurred and gradient blur backgrounds.

Inside Symfonium in the now playing style you enabled a navigation bar overlay.

I didn’t, I didn’t even know about that option

Even then I have tried all the options in this setting and it still brings the same result of this white background

However with a dark cover art you can see that the setting actually works (notice the change in background).

When it’s disabled, everything is smooth

Then it’s your phone that automatically add a protection and that color, Symfonium does not draw anything there.

Seems to be tied to the status bar icon color.

Well yes your device not respecting all the flags and adding the overlay to ensure contrast.

Without a device to reproduce not sure I can easily workaround this.

Update on this, used the white theme for the first time and the issue shows on even the regular homepage.

Like you can clearly see that it doesn’t blend with the navigation bar.

Yes it’s the same, Symfonium says transparent but your OS for unknown reason says I’ll put a protection.

I’m running miui if that’s anything, I know the ROM is notorious for its issues. Hope it might be possible to find a fix.
