Feature description

Being able to play in background from different audio source with a separate audio volume. I believe this is called audio focus rule.

Making this option a toggle might be better if possible.

Problem solved

I want to listen to something like YouTube along with music at same time and be able to lower the volume of music via symfonium without changing the volume from YouTube/other source.

Brought benefits

Be able to listen to music and listen to a youtube video at same time at two separate volumes.

This would also allow users to scroll past a video on social media or something and have the music not stop.

Other application solutions

The only app I have personal experience that does this in an external Twitch video streaming app called xtra. GitHub - crackededed/Xtra: Third-party Twitch client for Android · GitHub

I believe there are other music players that do this I have just never used them.

It sure is. Searching for that should have led you to this post where I already provided a workaround that may work for you.

Is that not already a standard Android feature? I’m on A13 and have this built in to the system Volume Panel.

After some searching on my own, seems that actually isn’t standard. I’m on a multimedia-focused phone, so that makes sense.

In any case, seems like something that would ideally be handled outside of any one app so that it can control all media source volumes. Googling for “Android per app volume control” should give you a few volume managers that can probably take care of that.

Ok yea I just found my solution and a lot more with an app called shizutools.

Guess I should have done more research before making. Crazy that’s its just not baked into the system OS.
