Auto playback not working after latest Android Update

Issue description:

After updating to Android 15, The Symfonium app will stop playback when a Bluetooth device (mainly my car stereo, but also BT speakers, earbuds, etc.) is disconnected, but then when a BT device is connected (sometimes even the same device), playback is unable to resume. Even if I open the app and press the play button, it does nothing. My only option at that point is to skip to the next track (skipping to previous will not work). This is intermittent, but happens more often than not. I’ve tried adjusting some settings in the app, clearing the cache, and I’ve even created a backup in consideration of possibly uninstalling and reinstalling. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Some Android 15 builds have bugs :frowning: And in all cases now to resume in Android 15 you need to exclude Symfonium from battery optimization.

Thank you for the quick response, but I’ve done that already. Would you recommend uninstalling and reinstalling? Or something else? Thanks!

It won’t change anything, this is a phone BUG, you need to harass Samsung so they push an update with the fix.

So it seems the “bug” you’re referencing only affects Symfonium. I have other players that don’t have this issue, but they don’t have the robust features that I thoroughly enjoy on Symfonium. Any chance the issue can be addressed on your end? I don’t think Samsung is going to even acknowledge, let alone address my squeaky wheel…

Thanks!

I think you can keep the “” around the big word and read

No I can’t workaround, this is tied to targeting Android 15 that will be mandatory in August for all other app updates too…
