HI. At home I have my my music library on my PC and use my Nvidia Shield to play via my hifi in the living room… I also have Google Drive as the second (online) media source… When my PC is ON, I’d like only the local network media to be available, and when the PC is turned off, I’d like symfonium to switch to the online meda, Google Drive.
On my phone, similarly, when I am home and the PC is on, my phone would opt for the local media network, and as soon as the PC media is no longer available, it would see only the google drive media.
Problem solved
The function of this suggesiton would be to not have doubled up media visible when both my PC and Google Drive are available.
I suggest enabling the “Hide unavailable providers toggle” if it’s not already, so that your PC library will auto-hide when it goes OFF.
With the PC off, it takes just two taps to open the Source Filter menu and enable Google Drive. Whenever your PC is on and you see your library doubled, it’s again just two taps to open Source Filter and disable Google Drive.
Which totals less than 5 seconds of inconvenience to use the manual toggles. I missed the part where you said you were on TV. I can see this being more annoying there.
Hi yeah I’m aware of these things, using android TV mostly where navigation is very clunky and often frustrating, automatic display of one source only would be great!
Also, using the Android TV, Google Drive is always an available source…so if the local network is on, there will always be duplicates, untill I get to the filter function…
