Issue description:
Using API call to sync media, syncs media, but will not refresh Smart Playlist
(Go easy on me if that API call isn’t supposed to sync the playlists too, please… - )
Logs:

Additional information:
Reproduction steps:
To test, I moved one file that was in my Smart Playlist off my device.
I then ran the API Media_sync, and it will remove the file from SF’s DB, but does not refresh the Smart Playlist.
If I run a manual sync from SF, it does correctly remove that song from the playlist
I then added the file back
Ran the API sync
Song is not restored to the Smart Playlist.
Run the sync manually, voila, it is there…

You should copy paste.
You use ApiReciever instead or ApiReceiver so the command never reach the app.
Tasker probably gives you an error somewhere about that.
OK, corrected my spelling, always have had issues with ei ie…
No errors in Tasker.
Tested again with the spelling corrected, and am experiencing the same.
API call has no effect on the smart playlist, while manual sync correctly removes / adds that song.
Was there anything in those logs that would point somewhere else to look on my end?

The logs where empty since tasker never called Symfonium, so no there was nothing as explained in previous post.
Provide new logs and triple check what you entered.

I still am not getting a smartlist refresh until I manually sync.
Maybe I do have something else I’ve just misspelled?

You send a provider ID of 3 when your provider ID seems to be 1.
As said you should really take time to validate what you enter.
OK, changed it to 1 (sorry)
Same results.
Still no joy updating smartlist until manual sync.
I’m happy that manually updating it works, so you can close this if you want. I just found it curious that it doesn’t update the playlists.

Smart playlist are not updated because they are always up to date with the content at the instant you open it.
Your issue is that you do not sent the proper commands to the API to actually start a sync, so obviously if there’s no sync there’s no updated data so the smart playlists are not “updated”.
So provide again new logs, but really the API works, it’s just that you enter invalid values.
I guess this was all just user error on me…
I just rechecked everything, and ran it again, and I opened the smartlist and watched it for about a minute, and it magically added and deleted.
Thanks for your patience.
You can close this one and put another in your win column, and I’ll take the “Stupid User Of The Day” award…
