Animated Glow

Issue description:

The Animated Glow efx are so much laggy, my phone have 12GB of RAM and 24GB with virutalization, that efx was trying to mimic the Apple blur I guess, also the blur efx in Symfonium inst so laggy (just when I set it, the first oppening usually is laggy) as the Animated Glow.

Yes it require huge upload to the CG. Provide a video of that ugly insufferable lag ?

Right, to be fair, both had a one-frame cut before the first animation happened: video

Yeah barely even noticeable  The app is optimized for battery usage, so yes opening the now playing triggers a lot of refresh of the screen to avoid useless non stop refresh when not visible.

the gif op gave is at 15fps so like it’s obviously impossible to notice, but on my phone the app goes from running at like a smooth 60fps to something very chopped (scrolling the lyrics makes it very obvious) (can’t tell you exactly the fps because i wouldn’t know how to measure it correctly).

like idk if the app is forcing itself to run at a lower framerate or if it’s pushing the gpu to the limit (hopefully not that lol).

locking the framerate to something low is completely understandable and from me trying to clone the apple music effect somewhere the blur looks reasonably good even if you ran it at 1fps and then motion blurred it to 15fps, but it only looks good if it stays to the background, it affecting the rest of the ui destroys it, and right now it does.

and you might think it’s only happening to me because my phone is idk weak or something, and tbh it is, but apple music’s actual blur runs perfectly well on my phone, so i do think it’s an implementation issue
