Android tv casting crashes on playback attempt

Issue description:

If I try to cast a track from my phone to my tv, it loads the casting ui on the tv, then loads for a bit (spinning circle on art cover on tv) then the screen goes black and it kicks me back to the android tv launcher/home screen. Playback on my phone works fine.

I only have flacs so i was thinking it might be a codec thing but im pretty sure i have transcoding enabled on my navidrome instance.
 

Reproduction steps:

 
Play a track,
select cast button and select a chromecast device,
media ui appears on tv but does not play,
press play on phone/tv remote,
loading circle appears on tv media ui over album art,
screen goes black on tv and media ui crashes/closes.

The usual bugged Xiaomi. On the device uninstall the update of Chromecast and it will stop crashing.

Hi, thanks for the quick response, are you talking about the phone or the android tv device? Also what do you mean by chromecast update, is there a specific app/apk i need to downgrade?

On the TV, and I don’t remember the exact name but it’s Chromecast or Google Chromecast that you need to downgrade.
