Android Auto - Queue Button in Upper Right Disappeared

Issue description:

Not sure if it’s an Android Auto issue due to all of the recent changes Google has been pushing; or it’s a Symfonium issue, but when I am playing a series of songs (from track mix or playlist) through AA, I no longer get the option on my car’s stereo to view the queue. This worked up to about a month or so ago. For additional testing, I selected a mix within YouTube Music and it DID show the Queue button.

Vehicle is Kia. My AA version is 15.2.653614-release.

Play any song in a queue/playlist through Android Auto.

You probably enabled the option never expose media session queue in the Playback / advanced settings.

My current settings are:

  • Never expose media session queue: OFF (left)
  • Expose media session queue: ON (right)

I’ve played around with these two settings and they seem “backwards”. They also seem to contradict each other.

  • Option 1 (Works)
    • Never expose: OFF (left)
    • Expose media session: OFF (left)
  • Option 2 (Works)
    • Never expose: ON (right)
    • Expose media session: (hidden)

The setting is actually always expose, to expose outside of the normal cases so usually have no reason to be enabled.

But yes current code have a copy paste and enabling always actually disable. Will be fixed in next release.
