When i click on an artist, let’s say Jay-Z, i arrive to Jay-Z’s page, with his albums, singles, EPs, Albums-Live, Albums-Compilations, Best Tracks.
For some reason i don’t see the majority of his Studio Albums on under Albums (but i see a Track, that is indeed a Single track).
Then under Singles, i see a Single, under EP i see an EP, etc…
What is strange is that under best tracks, I see all the tracks that come from Jay-Z’s albums, meaning that it recognizes Jay-Z as the artist.
Then under Best Track, when i click on the ALBUM BUTTON (on top of the Genres and bio), it leads my to all the available Albums, Singles, EPs… and then i see all the Solo Studio Albums…

Additional information:
One thing i might have done on Plex side is : Merge several albums that were tagged Jay-Z, Jaÿ-Z, JAY-Z, Jay Z into one Artist (in Plex library).
But ultimately all the Albums have the same Jay-Z “artist name” so it should be recognize as such by symfonium right?
Also on Plexamp i don’t have this problem at all, as you can see on the screenshot.
Reproduction steps:
It is the same for other artists like Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, or other…
I know I am too,
i think i’ll recreate my Library, changing the folder location, and doing artist after artist, scanning, and trying to understand what’s going on. It’ll take time but it might be the best solution overall, i will let u know. Thx
@Tolriq it seems that for some reason whenever i “merge” several albums that are with different Artist Names (eg: Jay-Z, Jay Z, Jaÿ z…), using the Merge feature from PLEX, it will automatically erase some tags from the media files (such as “albumartists” and “albumsartistssort”), which might cause the problem.
Im recreating my library elsewhere and will go through each albums and double check each time in PLEX and SYMFONIUM if everything is correct. So far so Good
