Album smart playlist order

Issue description:

I have a playlist hosted in LMS that includes albums contained in Rolling Stone’s 2020 “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. I’ve added tracks to the playlist according to their position in the survey and when I import the playlist from LMS everything looks fine. However, if I create a Smart album playlist of that playlist (for an album view) the albums appear out of order, even though I’ve chosen Default as the sort order.

This is normal, the original order can’t be maintained in that case.

Is this something that can be enhanced, should you wish to do so of course? Assuming a single playlist as source I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be possible.

Is there any other way to achieve BubbleUPnP/PlexAmp “Album view”?

No it can’t be enhanced, and there’s already opened features requests.

That’s a shame as playlist order is as important as the tracks contained therein.

I have seen lots of requests for album view but none that I could see about the incorrect ordering of albums within smart album playlists that are based on playlists. Apologies if I missed them.
