I have an album without a cover.jpg file. Noticed that and copied a file up to the local storage. Deleted all cached files, images, etc. under Settings > Advanced > Cleanup. Stopped the app, and restarted. But it does not pick up the new album image to display when I try and play any song from that album. Any suggestions?
Note that the album cover does come in on one of the songs on the album, but not any others, and not the album itself.

The album is a Cardi B “Gangsta B*tch Music Vol. 2” and the song that shows the new cover image is “Bronx Season” (the first song).
You need to sync when you change metadata and may need to clear tag cache in the provider settings.
With that said in the logs Symfonium tries to read images from the files, meaning taglib said there’s an image but probably invalid, so might worth checking the tags.
I did all that but it still didn’t work. It seems that Symfonium does not look for a cover.jpg file in a directory and use that as the album artwork. I used Quod Libet and the “Edit Embedded Images” > Embed Current Image to insert the images into each file. I can do this manually and sync files (it is a local source). I would prefer if Symfonium could support cover.jpg / cover.png in the directory, if possible.
Ok, I see the Sync button, and have used it. In some cases, this does not work (as previously noted), but I have run across an instance where it has indeed used the cover.jpg to correctly apply to songs in an album (and the album itself). I still don’t have a handle on why it works only sometimes (or rather, in some cases).
Nevertheless the work-around for me to go through my 1,099 albums and get the metadata right is something I can do, over time. We can close this for now.
Thank you for your helpful suggestions and speedy responses.
