App version
Production
Issue description
Greetings. I’m using an Android TV OS 14 media device with the Symfonium Version 14.0.0 TV version of the app (which I paid for via Google app store). I’m only using the app for locally accessing a folder containing mp3 files. Two persistent issues I’m having are making the app unusable for me, and I’ve recreated the issues even after uninstalling and doing a fresh install:
Issue #1: In the Library > Files > Local Device > (Storage folder) menu where I can see all my mp3 files, long pressing on a file in this menu gives me the option to ‘Add To Playlist’, however selecting this option always results in a “Track not found in the library!” error message. I can actually play the files in the app from this particular menu, but the ‘Add to Playlist’ option never works and always returns that error. I’ve gone through the process to turn on debugging, recreated the issue, and then I successfully uploaded the debug file to the Symfonium server with a tag that’s under my forum username (WOLF444). This brings me to the 2nd issue.
Issue #2: During the app set-up, it was configured for Local Device playback and I selected ‘On This Device’ option when the app asked me where my music is located. Audio access permission was granted. In Files > Media Providers menu, I’ve added my local folder containing my mp3 files. However after the initial set-up and syncing, when I add any new files to the storage folder the app fails to recognize them in the count when the Sync Manager process is run again. Example: during a fresh install let’s say I start with 50 files in my mp3 folder that are all recognized by the app, if I subsequently add 5 new files to the selected folder and run the Sync Manager again, the Sync Manager will only recognize and show the initial 50 files count (not 55). The app won’t recognize and count the newly added files during the Syncing process. I’ve recreated this issue many times across multiple installs. Now, if I delete any of those original 50 files from the folder, and run the Sync manager again, the app will reduce the recognized file count when syncing by the number of deleted original files, but the app never recognizes and increases the count when adding new files. If I were to view the Library > Files > Local Device > (Storage folder) menu, I can see all the newly added files in the folder after syncing, I can even play them from here within the app. However the newly added files always fail to display in the Library > Tracks menu - and that Tracks menu is the only menu in the app where the ‘Add To Playist’ feature works for me, and because all new tracks added to my storage folder always fail to appear in that menu, I cannot add them to any of my playlists. This issue makes the app unusable for me as I cannot update my Playlists with newly added files. I didn’t create a debugging report for the 2nd issue because it wasn’t clear to me what actions to do within the app to demonstrate the issue, but I can run debugging while Syncing if necessary.
Note: I’ve also hand-counted the number of files in my only connected storage folder to confirm that the number of files in the folder is ex. 55 while the app continues to report that only 50 files were synced when that process is run, yet all of the newly added files to the folder are viewable in the Library > Files > Local Device > (Storage folder) menu. Something is amiss.
If the ‘Add To Playlist’ feature would function properly in the Library > Files > Local Device > (Storage folder) menu, I could survive the Syncing issue described above because I would still be able to manage my playlists and add new tracks to them. Hopefully it can be resolved. I also attached some screenshots, and can provide video recordings of these issues if necessary. I actually really like the Symfonium app and recently spent many hours configuring the various settings to my liking. I hope these issues can be resolved so that I can continue using this app that I purchased and want to use. Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this and offers support.

Steps to reproduce
Add some mp3 files to a local storage folder and configure the app to recognize the folder, sync the app in the Sync manager. Now, In the Library > Files > Local Device > (Storage folder) menu, highlight one of the tracks, long press on remote, and select the ‘Add To Playlist’ option, the app should return the “Track not found in the library!” error message.
To recreate the Syncing issue described above: during a fresh install and after initially adding files in a folder to the device and running the syncing process, try then adding 5 new files to the storage folder that was originally configured for Local Device access. Run the Sync Manager again, the app should fail to recognize the new files when counting how many total files were scanned in the folder. Then go to the Library > Tracks menu, and the newly added files will fail to appear there within the app. However if you go to Library > Files > Local Device > (Storage folder) menu - all the files should be visible after syncing and can even be played from here, however the newly added files cannot be added to any playlist, and the newly added files fail to appear in the Library > Tracks menu (after syncing properly)
