Please add a “Play One Track” option to the playback modes, alongside Shuffle and Repeat.
This would eliminate the need to create a playlist containing only one song for playback.
It would eliminate the need to create unnecessary playlists.

If there is no queue open you can already do this in several ways.
You can change the default tap action to “Play (No auto queue)” See Settings → Interface → Navigation and media start → Default track action
Use the drag & drop to play
Track-swipe actions set to “Queue” or “Play next”
three-dots menu on any track and tap the Play button in there
If you instead have a queue already open and want to end playback at the end of the current song:
Set Sleep timer to 1 min and enable “wait until track ends” toggle
IIRC there’s already an open request for that feature sans Sleep Timer
