Player not showing bitrate of sound wave

Issue description

The Symfonium app is not showing the bitrate or sound wave in player view. Instead only “unknown” is shown.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Symfonium
  2. Choose Album or Track to play
  3. Click play button for Player to open
  4. The player starts - and shows no bitrate or sound wave, only “Unknown”

Additional information

Symfonium is connected to a self-hosted Navidrome instance. I’m playing from the home LAN network.

You badly configured your provider. You added the host as http but it’s actually https.

You have redirections, but http to https redirection loose post content and so does not properly work.

Fix the provider settings and use https (or if you just edit change the port from 80 to 443)

I couldn’t find where I can add https for the media provider. Under “primary connection” in the field “IP or hostname” I cannot add https:// before the URL because it leads to an error.

It works when I change the port to 443.

But I wonder if there’s any way to enter https to the URL?
