Wrong audiobook chosen in album view

Issue description:

I have lots of audiobooks in Jellyfin and some are not chooseable, when I click on the icon in the album view. These audiobooks mostly point to the same wrong entry. The audiobooks where this happens seem to share a property most other audiobooks in my collection haven’t: They have an intermediate author folder.

So, while most audiobooks are fine with this structure:

  • Jan Tenner
    • 01 - Jan Tenner - Angriff der gruenen Spinnen.mp3
    • 02 - Jan Tenner - Toedlicher Nebel.mp3

With intermediate folders, they sometimes (!) fail. Either they all point to one unrelated audiobook (all to the same one) or to only one (the first?) in the collection.

What fails is, e.g.,

  • Konsalik
    • Das Bernsteinzimmer
      • Konsalik - Das Bernsteinzimmer - CD 1.mp3
      • Konsalik - Das Bernsteinzimmer - CD 2.mp3

They work fine in Jellyfin.

Additional information:

I learned that Jellyfin is very specific regarding the folder structure - so it’s not possible to have a single mp3 audiobook in a folder with multiple subfolders for each mediabook. But the structures I use work fine in Jellyfin.

Reproduction steps:

  • In the “all albums” view
  • Click on a failing entry (e.g. “Das vierte Skalpell” by Hans Gruhl)
  • Redirected to “Leb wohl, Berlin” by Christopher Isherwood)

This is a known issue with broken Jellyfin and their … api.

There’s no known workaround from Symfonium except than tweaking the tags of the files

Thank you for your prompt response! Is there a post on this topic in the forum so that I can better understand the problem and the possible tag tweaking?

There’s a search button at the top

Sorry! And thank you very much!
