Very high battery usage, solely from background usage

Issue description:

I use Symfonium with Navidrome.

Over recent months Symfonium’s use of my battery has been high. I checked again today, and saw it had uses 22% of my battery since last full charge - even though I hadn’t actively used Symfonium. This was all background usage, as show in Android’s battery monitor. I have never (to my recollection) used the cast feature on Symfonium.
Since uploading the logs, I have triggered Cleanup internal state and will continue to monitor.

I’ve also been digging around the settings and disabled Fetch additional metadata in my media provider.

Is there any indication from the logs what might be driving the battery usage?

Logs:

Upload description: battery-not

Additional information:

Battery usage has also been high when Symfonium has been actively in use.

Reproduction steps:

I am not sure this will be easily reproducible, but:
Host a Navidrome server, fully updated
Link Symfonium to the Navidrome server
Observe high battery usage

Media provider:

Subsonic

In the screenshot you used Symfonium to 12 hours over 1 day and it only consumed 22% while having the screen on for 6 hours.
That’s not really high depending on what you do.

Your logs shows 20 seconds so there’s nothing in them to see anything.

That’s what’s strange here - I didn’t use Symfonium over that time to actively listen to music, so I was hoping to find out where that reported usage came from. The fact that screen time and background time are showing the exact same count - 6 hours 36 minutes - makes me wonder if something unusual is happening here.

After posting I played music for maybe 15 minutes in the app. But I’ve left debug/log collection enabled and since charged back to 100%. I’ll continue to monitor battery usage over the next 24 hours, without actively using Symfonium, to see if the same thing happens again, and if so hopefully the logs will be more detailed.
