Issue description

Music playing through DAC but it is not showing up as ouput.
Ouput displays as Phone (speaker) even though audio is playing through the DAC

Device type

Phone

Media provider

Subsonic (Open)

Steps to reproduce

1 Play Anything
2 Connect DAC
3 Music plays through DAC but it doesn’t show as output

Additional information

It works fine on my Android 16 Tab
But issue on Android 12 Phone
Issue arose after Beta 3 update
Worked fine before that
So no USB exclusive mode like before

Even reinstalled the app but issue persists

Also the popup that use to appear to get access for USB doesn’t show up on phone when I open the app

Similar issue. Whilst playing on phone, the phone output is selected, when connecting to Bluetooth/AA the output briefly changes to the correct ‘everest’ output but changes back to phone. Log uploaded. When using my headphones the process works correctly.

This issue is somewhat fixed as it shows the usb in dsp while playing.

But came across something new in the device which had this issue.

Now the entire usb exclusive option is missing in when you check in dsp settings.

Although it shows up in the output tab in the settings but can not be selected as there phone still shows as the current ouput.

It seems only name heading is changed in DSP rest settings are of Original (Phone) output.

And the pipeline is still treated as Phone output

No it’s the exact same issue that persists since Beta 3 update.

But made a different thread with beta 5 logs anyways.

I’m sorry about that i just saw the name change in dsp and thought the issue got fixed.

The only thing that was fixed was just the change output name in eq section but the actual output pathway used was still the phone rather than usb as seen in screenshots.

So still usb exclusive was not available in the device.

Also thanks a lot for fixing all the volume and DAC and device button issues.

Everything in that context feels smooth after beta 5 update.
