Too much space at the top And bottom on fiio M21

Issue description:

I am using a FiiO M21 which has a 4.7” 16:9 screen at
750 x1334

It’s running Android 13

On my device there’s too much space under the bottom menu and at the top. So if I look at an artist, there’s too much space above the artist name.
I have enabled logs and gone around the app a bit and then uploaded the log.

Provide the full details of your settings for the artist page.

On the photos there’s no status bar or navigation bars. How do you hide them ? It seems the OS still reports their size and so the app leave space for them.

The status bar was set in the app settings to be off under interface advanced and the bottom menu is because I have Android set to use gestures rather than the nav bar.

I have just tried turning both these off and it made no difference.

Interestingly I tried moving the button bar to above in interface artist settings and it disappeared. It didn’t move it visibly above the artist name, it’s nowhere in the screen

There’s no indicator in navigation mode on that device ?

Can you show how it looks when you are not in gesture mode and 3 buttons ?
And how it looks without the status bar hidden settings.

Sorry, I did try adding images to this forum but it timed out. I’ll make smaller images now and add

So yes the bottom space is the navigation space but why are the nav buttons hidden in the settings page ?

And can you also as requested show the artist page without status bar hidden ?

Sorry, upload got stuck.

So if I use gestures rather than the 3 nav buttons, they space can’t be used for apps? Fine with that if there’s a way to move the top part up

The space is reduced as you can see, it’s the space of the gesture indicator, but the question asked a couple of time is why is not visible ? (as the 3 buttons in some screens too).
It seems something hide it but the OS still returns the space as if it was used.

For the top space I can reproduce with those settings will look into it.

Thank you for looking into it. The bottom is fine really.
I have it set to gestures and no full screen indicator in the Android system settings as I prefer that. It could be that.
Overall it’s not a massive problem and the app still works and lols great but if the top space was a little less it would be even better.

Also have the back button set to hidden in each screen option bit in some it doesn’t hide for some reason. Again, not a big issue, just odd
