I have share the log file from symphony. I’m here and it looks really complicated for me to find or determine how to manually find the files and upload it via the link you sent me. I have just share and wrote my profile name : Franck.
Sorry if I was not clear :
It seems to try to read but there is no sound. The sound I could hear is not musique. No sound silence.
These are the only DSD 512 files I have. And all of them have issues to be played on fiio m27. These files work weel under uapp and native music app of fiio too.
Buy there is one more issue with symfonium and FIIO m27 : for each song of dap there is interruptions during playback at begining of song and few seconds before the end.
I have sent you the log (name : DSD FIIO m27) with this beta version. The issue was already with previous versions of symfonium (beta and final).
You did not answer the questions No crossfade is not beta but some devices can’t crossfade between different sample rate due to limitations in their internal behavior.
You can force upsample so that all tracks have the same sample rate to workaround those devices.
I made a test with crossfade désactivated and it is ok. Buy I would like to use crossfade. And I don’t want to upsample my music. I would like to listen it natively as it is.
I made the test with “neutron” with crossfade on and it work no interruption. But don’t like how neutron is designed. I like symfonium: great sound and hightest flexibility
You can’t crossfade on your device between different sample rate. There’s no other solution than upsampling or downsampling.
You removed neutron because I supposed you figured out that it also can’t do that.
There’s no magic cross fade plays 2 things at the same time. Either the device can load 2 decoders at the same time for 2 sample rate or you have to resample because the sound occurs at the same time … You can’t have 2 sample rate at the same time in a single decoder.
Then they resample and just don’t ask. If you do not understand how sample rate works there’s not much I can do here.
The chatGPT answer that you are free to confirm anywhere you want .
Crossfade requires both tracks to play at the same time for a short period so they can be mixed together.
A single audio output, however, can only operate at one sample rate at a time. You cannot simultaneously send one track at 44.1 kHz and another at 96 kHz to the same output.
So when two tracks have different sample rates, one of them must be resampled to a common sample rate before they can be mixed for the crossfade. This is an inherent requirement of doing the crossfade, not something specific to Symfonium.
Without resampling, the only option is to finish/stop the first track, reconfigure the output to the new sample rate, and then start the second track — which means there can be no actual crossfade between them.
