Support for older Android devices!

Feature description:

Hello, can you please support Android 5+ devices?
Arm-7a specifically

Problem solved:

It makes older devices work again instead of being a e-waste.

Brought benefits:

If people have older devices, they can use it as a music player while jogging etc without taking their main device!

Other application solutions:

Shuttle 2 already supports it but it lacks UI customisation and navigation by folder!

Even if I wanted I could not.

Why though, any specific reason?

Because all libraires are API 23+ and the audio engine API 28+ ? …

Maybe create a Symfonium Lite etc, just a suggestion though!

The issue are the libraries being used, idk how your suggestion of making a “Lite” version would help…the audio engine library is vital for the app… you know… to play music

You will either need to modify the library heavily (which makes it even more difficult to maintain) or straight impossible without rewriting your own from scratch which is I wouldn’t recommend anyone unless you have a specific reason for it.

The amount of work would be astronomical

And I would only doable if there is enough userbase for older devices that would make it profitable from a monetary perspective (consider Android 5 is a decade old)

Your best bet is going to be an old apk. Living in ancient times with hardware means living in ancient times with software too, unfortunately.

If you want to save your device from being ewaste, I’m sure there’s something else you can do with it.

EDIT: It’s been Android 9+ since version 3….. not even going to be remotely the same app at that point. I wouldn’t even bother.
