Support for Octo-Fiesta / external Subsonic proxy content

Feature description

Adding support for using Octo-Fiesta as a Subsonic/OpenSubsonic-compatible proxy with Symfonium.

Octo-Fiesta sits between the music client and a server such as Navidrome. It allows the client to access the normal local Navidrome library while also exposing externally sourced tracks through the same Subsonic/OpenSubsonic connection.

Ideally, Symfonium could connect to the Octo-Fiesta endpoint in place of the direct Navidrome URL and properly handle both local-library and Octo-Fiesta-provided content.

Problem solved

I currently use Navidrome as my music server, but I would also like to use Octo-Fiesta to access music that is not already stored in my local library.

At the moment, Octo-Fiesta support on Android is limited to a small number of clients, so using it means I cannot use Symfonium as my primary music player.

This creates a choice between using Symfonium, which I prefer as a client, or using Octo-Fiesta’s external music functionality.

Brought benefits

Support for Octo-Fiesta would allow Symfonium users to keep using their existing self-hosted Subsonic/Navidrome library while also gaining access to externally sourced tracks through the same interface.

It would make Symfonium more flexible for hybrid music setups where users want both a local collection and the ability to access music that is not yet stored on their server.

It would also allow users already invested in Symfonium’s interface, playback features, offline features, playlists, metadata handling, and Android integration to continue using the app instead of switching to another client solely for Octo-Fiesta compatibility.

Other application solutions

Octo-Fiesta currently lists several Android clients as compatible, including:

Navic
Tempus
Substreamer
Yuzic
Wavio

These clients can connect through Octo-Fiesta and access the proxied Subsonic/OpenSubsonic content.

I would prefer to use Symfonium for this workflow rather than switch to one of those clients.

Additional description and context

Octo-Fiesta is designed to act as a transparent proxy in front of a Subsonic/OpenSubsonic-compatible server such as Navidrome.

Instead of pointing the client directly at Navidrome, the client connects to Octo-Fiesta. Octo-Fiesta then passes through the existing local library while also providing additional externally sourced content.

I am not necessarily requesting a dedicated “Octo-Fiesta” provider type if compatibility can instead be achieved through Symfonium’s existing Subsonic/OpenSubsonic provider.
