Special characters not displayed

Issue description:

Hello, the software seems to not recognize special characters like those for Kanye West’s Vultures 2 album with the band symbol ¥$. Kind regards.

Usually this is more a font issue that does not include it, change the typography.

Since the log is nearly empty hard to tell more. (Would require a log with sync to see the tags)
