Edit: I found a similar issue talking about the playlist but couldn’t find anything about the home page default elements.

Issue description
When setting the “Sort by” to “Random” for different types of media lists like for the default home page sections and playlists, I expect them all to behave the same which is:

Tap on header/randomized-playlist to view the section/playlist media list (example: Favorite Tracks > Favorite Tracks List)

You should see the tracks listed randomly which is supposed to only be refreshed/randomized once per page view or when refreshing the home page (which is working quite well)

Tapping on a track should play the track selected, and if queuing is enabled it should preserve the order of tracks until leaving the page

When leaving the page and going back in, there should be a refreshed list of tracks that is sorted randomly
What happens:
So far, steps 1 and 2 works fine, and the issue starts on step 3, as different things happen depending on whether it’s a home page element or a playlist.
For the home page elements, like the Favorite Tracks, tapping on a track plays a totally different track with a totally different queue order.
In playlists, tapping on a track would play the track and the queue will be in order, but the track list gets refreshed

Steps to reproduce
For home page:

Go to settings > Interface > Home page > Choose anything to modify like “Favourite Tracks”

Scroll to “Media” section > Sort by > Random

Go back to home page and view the page section you modified like the “Favorite Tracks”

Play a track and note what you played
-
What plays is totally different including the queue
-
Though, the list in the page is still the same
For playlists:

Select tracks to create a playlist

Go to the playlist > Tap on “Manual order” > Set it to “Random”

Play a track and keep in mind what you played including the list order

What plays is totally what you expected including the tracks in the queue being in order

Though, the list view got refreshed
