I am using Symfonium on my Pixel 9, and I am noticing that when I use the headset buttons on my Sony WH-1000XM5 earbuds, Symfonium doesn’t recognize the taps.
I use other music apps that do recognize the taps. Specifically, Finamp and Qobuz. Also worked on Spotify before as well.

You have enabled the option to disable media session restoration and do something that does not reset the flag after an app kill and you start playing.
Unfortunately the logs don’t show that part. How do you start playback when this happen ?
Hm I am not sure what that flag really does TBH. I just enabled it to see if maybe that would help with tapping my earbuds. I have disabled the option and restored those settings to default and uploaded a new log. This log has me enabling debug mode and tapping on my earbuds. I don’t know if it shows that in the log, but hopefully you see something that could be helpful. 
The option is still active in those logs. Once disabled (so Disable media session restoration unchecked in Playback/Advanced) reboot the phone to be sure and try again / provide news logs.
Ohhhh weird after a reboot my buttons work with Symfonium!
Maybe I activated something that prevented them from working before.
