### App version

Production

### Issue description

When a song is paused and the app is exited, the song is forgotten by the app upon opening it again, unless it is done right after. If one waits something like 2h hours (sometimes without even closing the app), or restart their phone (as done in the associated logs), one gets no song in the now playing zone. Trying to manually resume the playlist (in the list of playlist) the song was from also does nothing

### Device type

Phone

### Media provider

Audiobookshelf

### Steps to reproduce

1. Play a song from a playlist and pause it before it finishes
2. Restart your phone or close the app and wait a significant time. Sometime not closing the app can also do it if one waits long enough.
3. Open the app
4. Notice that no song is playing and that the playlist cannot be resumed

Thanks, the logs confirm the problem.

Symfonium correctly saved the queue with 22 songs and the paused position at about 102 seconds. After the restart it found the saved queue and position, but none of those 22 Jellyfin item IDs could be matched to songs in Symfonium’s local library database, so the restored queue became empty.

As a temporary workaround, please verify that the relevant Jellyfin music library is enabled in Symfonium, force a full provider synchronization, then recreate the queue. Also, the report form lists Audiobookshelf, while the logs show Jellyfin; please confirm that Jellyfin is the affected provider.

The queue-restoration behavior when server playlist items are missing locally needs to be improved.

Hello, thank you for the answer. The bug persists after a manual sync. Moreover it also affects my partners phone (same jellyfin server), who, FYI, additionally has the whole playlist downloaded offline. I am not familiar with synfonium ID/database scheme but the way you’re describing it feels like it is indeed a bug ? And that I cannot do anything about it right now. Weird thing is it was working before.

A song could be missing from the database but still be started? Then why not just resume it and force a sync, rather than empty the queue? (no critic meant) The jellyfin server was migrated at some point (a month ago maybe) but, since it’s playing the sounds correctly, I doubt it would only affect sessions restauration?

Can the bug be reproduced on your end? Is there anything I could do to help (additional log?)

PS: Audio bookshelf is a mistake. I only ever used jellyfin

Thanks, the Jellyfin migration is likely the missing detail. It may have changed the item IDs, leaving your playlist and saved queue referring to IDs that no longer exist. A library sync loads the current IDs; it cannot bring the old ones back.

- If the playlist exists only in Symfonium, recreate its entries from the current library.
- If it exists and plays correctly in Jellyfin, sync the playlist itself using **Replace with provider version**. Re-import it if the migration also changed the playlist’s ID.

Then start playback from the refreshed playlist to create a new queue. An offline copy can still play while the saved queue fails to restore, because restoration relies on matching those IDs.
