Song sped up in beginning

Issue description:

I have a song which plays just fine on one instance of symfonium on my phone. But when playing it on my tablet the beginning of the song gets sped up. When exporting the file and playing it with Samsung music the file plays just fine. Playing the exported file with symfonium results in the same sped up playback.

Using internal or external decoder does not show a difference. What’s weird is that the same file works just fine with symfonium on my phone.

I have also uploaded the corresponding file “Ordinary Life.mp3”.

The file seems to have an issue. Did you change the file at some point and the phone have a cached version of a previous one ?

On the phone I also removed the file from cache and just streamed it from the provider without issue. Uploaded the file downloaded via phone as well “Ordinary Life.mp3”

Tested the file on many devices and can’t repro any issues.

Have you enabled skip silence on that device ?

Yes, that’s it! When disabling skip silence, everything works fine!

I am sorry that I wasted your time with such a mistake.

Btw. It took me quite a while to find the option to skip silences. It might be clever to also make this option accessible in the settings/playback section additionally to the menu in the now playing screen.
