# Sometimes search result drop targets (play, shuffle, add to queue, play next) are behind the now playing bar

### Issue description

Sometimes, if the compact now playing bar is open, when opening the search page and trying to drag a result onto a drop target, the drop targets are drawn behind the now playing bar as if it wasn’t there.

It’s hard to know when this is going to happen, so you’ll have to excuse the long logs file and the short video.

It happens at the end at the end of the logs file.

From what I can remember, it seems to happen usually when the compact now playing is paused and still open from a previously playing session. It may happen when it’s still currently playing though too, I’m not sure. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out a pattern to reliably make this happen.

The drop targets are still usable, just hard to see. The issue is usually rectified by leaving the search page and searching again, or, as you can see in the video, once the now playing bar gets redrawn.

### Steps to reproduce

1. Compact now playing open from a previous session and paused
2. Search something on the search page
3. Attempt to drag result - buttons are drawn behind the now playing bar sometimes.

Edit:

Reliable way to reproduce:

1. Play song, pause it midway so compact now playing bar remains open .
2. Swipe away app in recent apps
3. Relaunch app, attempt to do drag and drop targets from anywhere in the app
4. Targets will be behind now playing bar from step 1.

I have had this happen only one time myself so I hadn’t tried to report it.

For me, it happened when a queue was open but paused. I think my device had closed the app in the background (I was multitasking). I was on the Albums library screen and all the images had to reload when the app was opened again. At this point I dragged an album to try to play it, and saw the stated problem.

~~Will see if I can reproduce.~~ I didn’t see your edit. Yeah, that about confirms what happened for me. I still can’t get it to happen again though.
