Some songs won't play when casting

Issue description:

I have tried sharing logs under renctan. Some songs cannot play to my Marantz. I don’t know what is it yet because it’s not just file format, but always the same set of files. Sympfonium have no problem playing locally. I can cast the same song via subsonic when using bubbleupnp

Subsonic

There’s no UPnP playback in the logs and Bubble does not support Subsonic.

You’re correct, I have misremembered and I was playing the file from locally and not subsonic when using BubblePnp.

I have used the upload log feature to upload the new logs manually. I have mentioned this the link to this ticket in the description.

I noticed that when playing on upnp, the end time just say --:–

When I select it to play locally (note: I didn’t include the local device in the media provider, subsonic is the only provider), the end time is displayed correctly with “speed 1x”

As a reference, I got this from Amazon (it’s the first song, but I fixed the mp3 tags to display the native language):

The logs are strange, have you tried to disable gapless in the renderer settings in Symfonium?

You can try to enable the proxy option to see if that workaround too. Try to cast from local device from Symfonium too.

I couldn’t find the renderer settings and the proxy option you mentioned. I’m using the Android app version 13.5.0b.

I think I noticed the pattern, most of the time, it appears to manifest only on the last song of the album. And in my original example, I only bought a single song from the album so it also happens to be the only and “last” song of that album. It doesn’t appear to matter if it’s mp3, flac or aac.

Lol so ok Denon device, know issue on those devices with gapless.

Disable gapless, the renderer settings are the setting button near the renderer in the cast dialog.

Thanks! The issue went away it after disabling gapless.
