Feature description:
I would like to be able to filter inside of existing playlists with preexisting smart filters, like genre, bpm, mood, artist, year, etc.
So for example, i may have a rock playlist, and in that moment i may want to play fast paced songs, so i filter the playlist by high bpm and only play those. But at a later moment, i may want to only play slower more chill songs instead, so i would filter the same playlist for low bpm and exclude anything of high bpm. All that within the same playlist.
I’d love to see this for both smart and non-smart playlists, but for sure it’s more needed in non-smart playlists. (I know you can already modify smart playlists filters but it’s a bit of pain to remove a filter just for a momentary feeling and then add it back again after the feeling is over all the time).
Just to be clear, this feature would be separate from smart playlists filters.
Problem solved:
I don’t like creating a million playlists for all the moments that i feel like listening to slightly different combinations of music. Sometimes i just want to quickly change a playlists filters without having to create a whole new playlist that I’ll never use again.
Brought benefits:
More order in my playlists, as I’ll not have to create a new one as often. Also making the process between “i feel like listening to x type of music” and actually getting to listening to that music much faster.
Other application solutions:
I’m not sure I’ve seen this in other apps. In fact, that’s one of the reasons i left spotify and started looking for offline music players. I wanted a feature like this one since i would use it a lot.
