Should Source Filter limit songs played by Radio Mix from AudioMuse-AI?

Issue description

The behaviour is the same on Production and Beta, I currently have Beta installed so I selected that. Server is Navidrome 0.62 and I have Audiomuse AI setup with the new plugin (AudioMuse-AI-NV-plugin version 8.0.0) to support Radio Mix of similar songs via getSimilarSongs/getSimilarSongs2.

I have my music split into several libraries, one that contains my music and others that are shared with my wife/family.

If I deselect my library in Source Filter, start playing a song, start a new queue from Radio Mix, some of the results returned from Audiomuse AI and added to the queue are from the library that is removed from Source Filter.

What I am wondering about is if it is expected that Source Filter should apply to the Radio Mix results, or if it is a feature request to make it apply (if that is even possible)?

My use case is that my library (that I am deselecting via Source filter) contains music that my wife doesnt like (or is too hard for my kids). But starting a Radio Mix from some other songs does sometimes return those results as similar so they end up playing. So I am trying to see if Source Filter is expected to apply to Radio Mix results like that or not.

I did do testing with e.g. a separate provider using a different user account that doesnt have access to that library and that does work, but adds in overhead of managing likes/ratings/playlists/etc even though Profiles makes possible from the Symfonium end (PPS, thank you for Profiles too!).

Steps to reproduce

  • Open Source Filter
  • Deselect specific library from a provider
  • Perform a search (e.g. artist, album) to confirm results from deselected library arent returned in search
  • Start playing a song from the still selected library/libraries ensuring that a new queue is used
  • Start a Radio Mix (via Navidrome getSimilarSongs2 with AudioMuse-AI-NV-plugin)
  • Some of the songs added to the queue are from the deselected library and they play

Yes it was not applied to that case only the flows will fix.

You may be able to restrict this from the AMA side of things: set the AMA user to only have access to the libraries you want results from.

AMA website > Administration > Setup Wizard > Music libraries to scan

Thank you! Ill adjust my setup, I think the multiple users will be the simplest short term solution.

Edit: I reread your message and realized flows meant Smart Flows and after testing it yes you’re right, that does stick to the source filtered libraries and looks like it will work without separate users. Playing around with it is giving me the same results as the Audiomuse AI Playlist from Similar Song.

I looked at that, but I do want it to be able to do the similarity on most music, just to not have all users listen to all music.

I use it to exclude Xmas songs from AMA, as nothing ruins a good mix like sleigh bells in June!

So true, and I have been moving those to their own library already for that same reason!
