Random album playlist not working on homepage

Issue description:

I have created a smart album playlist that randomises recently added albums. The playlist is added to the homepage, and it has been working flawlessly.

However, I have noticed that it has stopped working. However, it still working fine within playlists. Once I navigate to the playlist tab and click on the playlist, it works fine

issues is limited to the home page

Please properly explain the issue instead of stopped working and a few however ..

  5. on the homepage, it no longer randomises the album. Previously when you went on home page, you will be served a different album

  1. Another issue is that when you click on a random album on the home page, it now goes to the latest which is a new bug

No it’s not clearer. What kind of random do you use ? Swipe down to refresh the home page ?

And if you look at the content of the Latest releases it’s actually the content that is displayed on the home page.

You probably played with backup restore or edited json or something that triggered again duplicate unique IDs for the playlists as you previously did.

Remove the playlist and create it from scratch or find what you do to create duplicated unique ids.

Hello. I have added in a video that will hopefully make things clear

  1. I created an album playlist of recently added album that displays random albums every time you load it. You can see it working correctly on the playlist page
  2. I have added the playlist to my home page
  3. On home page, the playlist doesn’t work any more
  4. It used to work perfectly
  5. Now. It never randomises and when you clicked on the playlist on the home page, it goes to latest releases.

It’s definitely a bug

I have make or tweaked any settings.

Again: You have duplicated unique IDs of the playlists, I don’t know how you create those playlists but it’s not from the GUI.

Remove both playlists and create new ones from the GUI or find how you generate duplicated ids.

Ok. Every single one of the playlists I had previously created were somehow corrupted. I had to delete all of them and recreate them.

I didn’t understand how it would have happened but glad it’s been redressed.
