# Playlist "Display Album Artist" sorting problem

### Issue description

When sorting a playlist that has been synced with my Emby server, the Display Album Artist sorting is inaccurate and mysterious. Sorting a Blues playlist by album artist, it moves from:

(start of playlist)  
John Fahey  
Corey Harris  
Howlin’ Wolf  
Lighting Hopkins  
Bessie Smith  
Son House  
T.D. Bell & Erbie Bowser  
Johnny Cash  
Cephus & Wiggins

There’s no evident logic to this ordering. It seems to be sorting on first name sometimes, last name other times, and isn’t even starting at a logical first or last name. What’s happening and how can this be fixed? (Edit: as additional data, in Emby, sorting the playlist works as expected.)
