### App version

Beta

### Issue description

I’m running 15.01 and had the same experience with 15.00. For no apparent pattern or reason, the player will jump to the next song prior to finishing the current. This happens seemingly randomly and only when playing from local server. I uploaded a log just recently after this had happened.

The tracks are not bad. Skipping back manually I can finish/play the song. Other services do not have an issue with the track.

I asked about this on Reddit and one other commenter said they had the same issue. It just did it while I was typing. Two logs submitted.

Thanks. The log shows this is Plex playback to Sonos over UPnP with gapless enabled. At 10:08:40 Sonos reports the current track at 2:59 of 3:21; one second later it reports the queued next track. Symfonium sends no skip or `Next` command at that point—it only follows the track change reported by Sonos.

Plex is transcoding these M4A files to MP3, so this appears to be an interaction between the queued Plex transcode and Sonos gapless playback. Please disable **UPnP: Gapless support** in that Sonos renderer’s settings and retry the same album. If it still occurs with gapless disabled, please upload that log together with the Plex server logs around the occurrence.

Also, the media provider in this reproduction is Plex rather than Local device.

Thanks for the response. I will make those changes. My setup is streaming not local device and I described it as local server incorrectly. Local server with Plex.

Edit - I’m going to keep testing I’m not convinced it was the same thing.

Please see logs “ib 4”. Was cool for a while but then I got another skip. Sent the log and then the player jumped back to the beginning of the track. Open to feedback or helping test.

Check the servers when it occurs, the Sonos stop playback on it’s own while directly speaking with Plex.

I think this may have resolved it, Toriq. I’m curious what would have made it happen now and not previously? Was there a change in the app?

Thanks for the quick support and solution.

There’s changes on Plex side yes. Only Plex server side logs can tell exactly what happens.

That makes sense, there was an urgent update recently. Likely same timing.
