Playback Speed Over 1x Causes Timeline Desync

App version

Production

Issue description

When listening to audiobooks at speeds over 1x (I’ve tested 1.5x, 2x, 3x) it seems like playback desync’s between the timeline and the actual audio. It seems like the tracked duration is off by the multiplier (e.g. 6m into a 12m track at 2x shows as 12m). Something about this also seems to cause the player to forcibly advance before the end of the actual track, though the exact amount seems more or less random.

I’ve tried a variety of things including remuxing my media and changing bitrate / channels, it doesn’t seem to be connected to any of these, it seems to be purely longer tracks at a speed multiplier.

Device type

Phone

Media provider

Navidrome

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a track that’s ~5m long.
  2. Set the playback speed to 3x.
  3. Hit play for 50s, the timeline should be at 50%, but will instead be at 7.5m and past 100%.

Additional information

Attached two screenshots, one of the timeline problem, one of the error after skip (should be in the debug logs as well, hopefully).

Thanks! =)

Probably not  Update to 15.1 see changelog.

Doh! Sorry. Thanks! Saw issues about playback speed changing randomly, didn’t see this one. Appreciate the reply!

Confirmed. Updating to 15.1 did it. Thanks for the awesome app.
