In the failing case, the speaker encounters a stream error during the transition and playback does not continue.

For the phone-only issue, please capture a fresh log and note the exact time and chapter where playback unexpectedly stops or skips. Please also confirm whether you heard missing audio, or whether the progress indicator made the chapter appear unfinished.

Hi. I uploaded a fresh log where it happened a few times. Log name **Grremlin\_sept\_12**

I didn’t notice any missing audio, it simply stops all of a sudden.

I’ve also noticed that one time when it suddenly stopped, if I resume playback, even though the indicator shows somewhere in the middle of a file, it always starts playing that file from the start. Only killing the app completely and restarting it makes it play from the proper spot.

The phone pauses on September 12 show separate causes: an audio-focus interruption at 11:09, and pause commands at 00:34:57, 11:23:56 and 13:39:38. Which of those were unexpected, and were you using Bluetooth headphones or another connected device? The log does not identify what sent those commands.

I did not use any connected devices, but the phone was on a wireless charger at a time.

Thanks, that identifies the unexpected stop. At 13:39:38, Symfonium received a pause command through Android’s media controls. There was no playback error at that moment, but the log doesn’t identify what sent the command.

Was the screen on or showing a screensaver while charging, and does this also happen when the phone isn’t on the charger?

The screen was showing the default AMOLED “Screensaver” where it shows time and notification icons, charging status etc.
It also happens when the phone was off the charger, just laying down. And the screen was not touched or anything so nothing could’ve sent the pause command.

A pause command doesn’t require touching the screen or having a connected device—Android or another app can also send one through the media controls.

At 13:39:38, the log explicitly records Symfonium receiving that command, then pausing playback. So something did request the pause; that doesn’t mean you did it.

Unfortunately, this log doesn’t identify the sender. Since it also happens off the charger, we can’t attribute it to charging or the screensaver.

I’ll try to add more logs in a future version to see if we can identify the source.

Perfect, thank you! I wonder if that’s the same issue cause when I’m casting.
